ABOUT
Martina Menichetti is a musician, producer, speaker, and educator who loves bringing people together through music. Her genres range from pop, classical, folk, and jazz, to musical theatre and scenic improvisation - a reflection of her diverse background and creative curiosity as a vocalist, flutist, pianist and songwriter.
When performing under the stage name Authentica, she reimagines Luxembourg’s folk music for audiences worldwide, blending folk, Celtic, and Latin-Mediterranean influences in a dynamic way. Her debut album is being released in February 2025, with her work supported by the Oeuvre stART-UP Fund. Authentica is also supported by Kultur|LX Arts Council Luxembourg.
As a member of Philharmonie Luxembourg, Martina creates performances, interactive concerts, and workshops for all ages. She also collaborates with schools, cultural organizations and companies, using music to connect, inspire, and break barriers - a message she shares in her TED Talk.
Born in Italy and raised in Luxembourg, she has also lived in Vienna, Maastricht, and Munich and is fluent in seven languages. She holds diplomas in flute, piano, pedagogy, and media & communication and has been on both sides of the stage, directing productions, managing concerts, and sharing music as a speaker and performer.

Martina Menichetti est une musicienne, productrice, conférencière et éducatrice qui aime réunir les gens à travers la musique. Ses genres musicaux varient du pop, classique, folk et jazz, au théâtre musical et à l’improvisation scénique — un reflet de son parcours diversifié et de sa curiosité créative en tant que chanteuse, flûtiste, pianiste et auteure-compositrice.
Lorsqu’elle se produit sous le nom de scène “Authentica”, elle réinvente la musique folklorique luxembourgeoise pour un public international, en fusionnant des influences folk, celtiques et latines-méditerranéennes de manière dynamique. Son premier album sort en février 2025, avec son travail soutenu par le Fonds stART-UP de l’Oeuvre. Authentica est également soutenue par Kultur|LX Arts Council Luxembourg.
En tant que membre de la Philharmonie Luxembourg, Martina crée des performances, des concerts interactifs et des ateliers pour tous les âges. Née en Italie et ayant grandi au Luxembourg, elle a également vécu à Vienne, Maastricht et Munich, et parle couramment sept langues. Sie absolvierte Studien in Flöte, Klavier, Pädagogik sowie Medien & Kommunikationsmanagement und kennt sowohl die künstlerische als auch die organisatorische Seite der Bühne – sei es als Regisseurin, Konzertmanagerin oder als Musikerin und Rednerin.

INSTRUMENTS
Vocals
My vocal range is soprano / mezzo soprano, and I navigate different genres, including musical theatre, pop, jazz, and folk. My approach blends technique with storytelling, adapting to each style’s unique character.
Piano & Keyboards
The piano is my core expressive instrument and a key tool in my musical work. Through years of studying Bach, Mozart, and Chopin, to playing pop songs on request and grooving through jam sessions, the piano allows me to navigate artistic styles across all genres with flexibility and creativity.
Flutes, Whistles, Recorders & co.
I play a diverse collection of flutes and whistles, including the silver Boehm flute, Irish wooden D-flute, tin whistles, low whistles, recorders, ocarinas, Indian bansuri, bagpipes and more. I am always eager to explore the unique sound and texture that each instrument offers.
Violin
While not as extensive as my other instruments, I enjoy playing the violin, primarily in a fiddling style, and I continue to learn and experiment with its expressive energy.
Guitar & Ukulele
Both instruments play a key role in my arranging, songwriting, and accompaniment. I love playing guitar to add rhythm and depth to any song, while the ukulele is a lighthearted companion for everyday music-making, bringing joy and simplicity wherever I go.
The family accordion, bought by my grandfather for my mother, has become a cherished instrument in my recordings since I’ve picked it up from time to time.
